Parameters

Refine the response

page

Page number, starting at 1. The default is 1.

page_size

Results per page, from 1 up to and including 100. The default is 20.

q

Case-insensitive search. Works for makerspaces and machines.

sort

Sorts makerspaces by name, city of created_at.

sort_order

Use asc of desc. The default is asc.

Response

Consistent structure, clear navigation

A collection contains resources in data, pagination information in meta and links to other pages in links. IDs are returned as strings.

Origins and compatibility

Based on open standards

The routes are based on the FabLabs.io API reference. Responses follow JSON:API version 1.0.

MakerIndex has its own fields and defaults and is therefore not a complete replacement for FabLabs.io. While FabLabs.io documents OAuth, these public MakerIndex routes do not require sign-in.
